If you replace your electric hot water system with a Natural Gas system and meet the criteria, the NSW Government will provide you with a $300 rebate. While the Government provides more money for other systems such as solar, Natural Gas produces the same amount of greenhouse gas emissions and is more cost effective to install than other options. The ultimate green option is to use Natural Gas boosted by solar, in which you can claim $1,200.
